The AEO Leaderboard

A daily-refreshed ranking of brands by how often AI assistants recommend them in industry-relevant queries. Tiered scoring: the public leaderboard uses Gemini alone (zero ongoing cost), free homepage scans also use Google Gemini (1 per day per IP), and paying dashboard users get the full 9-engine fan-out (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode).

For each brand we generate 8 industry-specific, unbranded prompts (e.g. "best payment processors for SaaS") and ask the configured engines whether they would naturally recommend the brand. The AI Presence score is the mean per-engine % of prompts where the brand surfaced, on a 0-100 scale. The public leaderboard runs this against Gemini alone; free homepage scans also run on Gemini (1 per day per IP); paid dashboard scans run across all 9 engines for richer consensus.

Cost. A multi-engine scan of every brand on the leaderboard, daily, would burn $5-10/day in API spend. A Gemini-only scan is ~$0.27/day at the same cadence. Gemini is among the top frontier models in 2026, so the score is meaningful — it just measures one engine's view, not consensus. Free homepage scans also use Gemini (matching the leaderboard's engine, 1 scan per day per IP); paid users get the full 9-engine fan-out.

Only brands that have been scanned via our tool appear here. If you don't see a brand, run a free scan from the homepage and they'll show up next time the leaderboard updates.

The AI presence ranking is a live read on which brands AI engines surface for industry-relevant questions right now, in 2026. A high score means a brand consistently gets named in answers; a low one means it's largely invisible to the engine. So the top of the board is the closest thing we have to the best brands at AEO today — but it only reflects brands that have been scanned, and it measures Gemini's view, not every engine's.

No. We de-dupe to the most recent scan per brand, so re-running doesn't inflate your number. Bigger scores come from real coverage in AI engines, not scan volume.

The curated brand list is re-scanned daily at 03:00 UTC. The public page itself re-bakes on every frontend deploy (typically once or twice a week). Treat the underlying scores as fresh-daily; treat this page's snapshot timing as the freshness lower bound.

Three levers, in order of impact: (1) Get cited by external sources AI engines trust (Wikipedia, niche industry sites, Reddit threads). (2) Publish structured FAQ + product content in your own pages so engines have something to summarise. (3) Make sure your robots.txt and llms.txt actually allow AI crawlers — our scanner flags this.
